Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS)

BAFF is pleased to support the 2018 Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) by offering travel grants to Baltic citizens residing in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, whose proposals for papers, posters, panels, roundtable discussions, or workshop sessions are accepted for inclusion.

Travel Grant Eligibility

  • Conference presenters (whose proposals have been accepted)
  • Scholars, graduate students, government and public organization representatives
  • Baltic citizens current residing in Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania
  • Presenters who do not have other sources of travel support

Important Dates

  • October 15: Deadline to submit AABS proposal
  • December 1: BAFF travel grant applications open
  • February 1: BAFF travel grant application deadline
  • March 15:¬†BAFF travel grant notification

Early or late applications will not be considered. You must submit a copy of your acceptance notification and confirmation that your university or organization is unable to support your travel to the Conference. All travel grant awardees must credit BAFF in their presentation and the Conference proceedings.
