Anna Zanete Freimane, project manager at IXL Center and the Global Innovation Management Institute, Boston
My time in Boston has been truly the best and continues to be. I have the great opportunity to work with people from the IXL Center and the Global Innovation Management Institute. I’ve participated in big consulting projects with global companies and contributed to innovation certification courses and community coordination. Every day at the office brings something new and challenging, and I’m very happy to be part of this international team working on big, bold ideas.
Boston and Cambridge feel very at home, the city speaks right to my heart. It’s compact, full of life, full of brick houses, and great things to do. I’ve enjoyed museums, coffee shops, a million walks, and just a little less runs and I’ve seen almost all the great sports teams play. I’ve tried line dancing, tested at least 2 lobster rolls, and explored local artists through Sofar concerts.
The best thing to come out of this internship is the people I’ve met - new friends from the program and new friends from the city. Together with them, I have gone for the mountains and for the ocean, for the “big” places like New York, Miami, and Puerto Rico, and for smaller ones.
My takeaway is to embrace the unknown and the changes, to breathe a little and look up, to take every opportunity that comes and to just go for the things you want!
Your experience is what you make of it. And I’m truly grateful and in love with mine.
