Ingeborga Nimma VIlliga, Social media and influencer marketing assistant at Scrub Daddy, Philadelphia

It’s been seven months since I joined Scrub Daddy. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a dynamic, creative, and fast-moving team at a truly global brand (check out their Shark Tank episode to see a great pitch in action).

So far, I’ve been heavily involved in social media and influencer marketing, helping bring ideas to life across platforms. I’ve had the chance to be part of filming ads, creating social content, and even doing a bit of hand modeling.

Learning how Scrub Daddy approaches and executes media trends and marketing strategies, and getting to work on collaborations with brands like Cif, Disney, Lionsgate (The Housemaid movie), and Spirit Halloween, has been incredibly valuable.

Outside of work, I’ve loved experiencing American culture and traveling. So far, I’ve visited Atlantic City, Washington, Miami, and Key West, and spent both Halloween and New Year’s in New York City, which still feels unreal. There are still so many places on my list.

Living in Philadelphia has also been a unique experience, completely different from what I expected, but it’s been interesting to see how passionate people are about their sports teams and the strong sense of community that comes with that.

Overall, I’m really grateful for this journey and everything I’m learning along the way. I am very thankful to the Baltic American Freedom Foundation for this opportunity and for making this happen. I can’t wait to see what the rest of my internship looks like.
