Grants
The Professional Development Grant supports BAFF Alumni in their ongoing personal and professional growth while strengthening the values and community spirit of the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation. Through this grant, alumni are encouraged to deepen Baltic-American ties, actively engage with the BAFF Alumni Club, share their knowledge and experiences, and contribute to the visibility and impact of the alumni network both regionally and internationally.
WHO CAN APPLY?
To support the BAFF mission of deepening the ties between and among Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the United States, the Professional Development Grant encourages collaboration among alumni across Baltic states and among scholarship programs. Attending activities with colleagues often leads to more creative and effective implementation of new knowledge, which is why teams of two or three BAFF Alumni—whether from similar or complementary professions, industries, or volunteer organizations, are encouraged to apply. Individual alumni may also apply, provided they justify why they are applying solo.
Open to BAFF alumni of the following programs:
Research Scholar
Graduate Scholar
Professional Internship
Leadership Academy alumni who have completed at least a first-level degree or can demonstrate clear value for their professional development.
All applicants must show the potential for meaningful development and have completed their BAFF program at least two years prior to applying. Applicants must be currently residing in Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania.

Relevance of the proposed conference or training—how team members—and the team—will benefit. What is the impact that participation and the knowledge gained would have on the Baltic region and US-Baltic relations, the participants’ daily work, their skillsets, and the BAFF community. Additional meetings to support the goals of the training and the conference are encouraged.
How team members will collaborate to implement new knowledge and experience. How does the conference or training expand the professional network and helps identify potential partners for future collaboration?
