JUNIOR
PROGRAM
WHY?
In the Alumni Council, we strive to deliver the most value to the BAFF Alumni community. That’s why we have developed a new initiative, the BAFF Junior program, to offer insight into different professions to recent Leadership Academy graduates. The goal of the program is to connect and introduce recent BAFF program graduates with more experienced alumni to get professional career advice and build their networks. This is a separate program from the flagship Mentorship Program and is exclusive to the freshest members of our community.
The Juniors have just participated in BAFF’s Leadership Academy in the summer of 2022 and are now in their final year of high school. We all remember that 12th grade can be stressful as you decide what to do next and may have various different visions for your future or sometimes just need a little extra encouragement to make the decision. We believe that the more experienced BAFF alumni could help Juniors gain more knowledge about potential career choices and thus offer support in the decision-making process.
HOW?
What does this mean? Simply put: the Juniors let us know about 1-2 professions that they’re interested in and we’ll match them with alumni from the BAFF community who have relevant experience in those fields. The pair will then have the chance to have one conversation, for the junior to ask more about the industry, profession, lifestyle, or anything else that comes with that specific career choice.
WHEN?
The matching process from 03.10.2022 till 23.10.2022
One-time meetings with Seniors from 24.10.2022 till 13.11.2022 (Guidelines will be provided to both parties to encourage a fruitful chat)
Feedback about the program
“I remember how hard it was for me to choose what to do after 12th grade. There was a lot of second-guessing - is this the right choice? I believe that BAFF network could and would provide valid insights so that it is the right choice.”
